A TradeIndia business listing is free to start: TradeIndia’s How It Works page says suppliers can join “at absolutely NO COST”, and free members can list a maximum of 50 products in their online showroom. Our take: if you make, supply or trade goods in India and want inquiries from other businesses, register free, complete the profile properly, list your real products, and only then decide whether a paid package is worth its price; if your goal is a local citation for a shop with walk-in customers, TradeIndia is a lead tool, not the first listing to build. This guide covers what the free listing includes, what the paid side adds as TradeIndia states it, how buy leads work, how to edit or remove a profile, and how TradeIndia compares with IndiaMART.

What we could verify, and how we read it

Everything below about TradeIndia comes from TradeIndia’s own pages, read on 2026-11-06: the How It Works page, the seller sign-up page, the special offers page, the buy trade leads page, the Verified Seller page, the help pages for account settings, trade leads and Premium Seller, and the terms. One page did not open for us: the Business Pro plan page returned a server error, so we do not rely on it. The Products & Services page opened but gave details for only three items. Some help pages read as old, so confirm any procedure on the live page.

From our own work, one first-party fact: TradeIndia is in our India catalog as a national directory with a domain rating of 83 in our records, labelled freemium and currently inactive. That is a statement about our records, not about the whole product.

TradeIndia free vs paid: what each side includes

The free listing and the paid products share a website but do different jobs. The free side puts your company and products in front of buyers. The paid side buys visibility, badges and access to leads.

Free registrationPaid products
What it isA company profile and an online showroom of your productsPackages, the Premium Seller tag, the Verified Seller badge, the Buy Trade Leads Package and add-ons

Buy leadsYou can sign in and browse the buy leads page; the help pages describe buy leads as a purchaseThe Buy Trade Leads Package, after trade alerts are activated

The number to remember is 50: TradeIndia’s How It Works page says free members can list up to 50 products, and a help page says the same for sell trade leads with photographs, with paid members getting 100.

The paid packages and their prices

At the time of writing (November 2026), TradeIndia’s special offers page lists 12 packages and calls them customised packages. The page gives each a name and price. It does not state durations or per-package features in the text we could read, and it shows an “Offer Expires in” countdown, so these are promotional prices that can change.

Other paid items TradeIndia names on its pages:

  • Verified Seller badge: the Verified Seller page shows INR 1,500 and “Valid Till: Dec. 31, 2026”. It says verified suppliers receive more inquiries and that businesses must meet “stringent qualifying criteria”, but it lists neither the criteria nor the documents.
  • Premium Seller tag: a help page says paid members get the tag, which helps a seller get more visibility in listing and search results. To get it, the page says to contact the TradeIndia team through the Contact Us link in the site footer. No price is on that page.
  • Customised Header Catalog: a subscription that gives your online catalog a custom header. Each subscription includes one extra catalog page, and further pages cost Rs. 3,900 each, according to TradeIndia’s products and services page. No subscription price is stated there.
  • Credit Report and Trust Stamp: a credit and financial report on a business entity, and a paid verification stamp for advertisers. Neither shows a price in the text we could read.

TradeIndia also has a Business Pro membership page. It returned a server error when we tried to open it and we could not read it, so we state no price or limits for it. Ask TradeIndia what any smaller membership includes before you pay.

Our take: the price gap between the verified badge (INR 1,500) and the smallest package (INR 48,999) is the most important fact on the page. A new exporter or small manufacturer should start with the free listing and judge by the inquiries it brings, then buy the smallest thing that removes a specific limit, and get duration, inclusions and renewal terms in writing before paying.

How to list your business on TradeIndia

TradeIndia’s seller page gives four steps. We follow them here, with the checks we would add.

  1. Create an account. Use the Join Free option and sign up with basic details. The sign-up link is on the TradeIndia home page.
  2. Update your company profile. The page lists company name, tax registration (GST), identity documents and bank details. Have them to hand, and write your name, address and phone number exactly as they appear on your registration.
  3. Add products. List items with descriptions, images and prices. The first batch should be your real best sellers, not a long list of everything.
  4. Become a verified seller. The page says that once you become a verified seller you will start receiving inquiries from genuine buyers. It does not explain how verification works, and TradeIndia’s terms say the Verified badge signifies that a seller’s business details have been independently verified, and that it does not imply a warranty or guarantee of the seller’s performance.

Two things we did not find: a statement that sign-up needs a mobile one-time password, and a statement of how long review takes. Do not assume either.

What to fix before you start

A wrong phone number on a B2B portal reaches the wrong person, and a buyer who cannot reach you moves on. Do these things first:

  1. Write one master record. Business name exactly as registered, one address, one phone number in one format, a website and an email you check. Our guide to NAP master data shows how, and what NAP means is there if the term is new.
  2. Check what already exists. Search TradeIndia for your company name, a former name and an old number before you register. Companies on B2B portals are often listed by the portal or by a previous owner. Our guide to finding and fixing duplicate listings applies here.
  3. Run the free NAP checker to see what the open web shows for your business, then fix the source of any wrong detail first.
  4. Choose product names buyers search for. Plain product names and categories beat slogans.
  5. Decide the contact route. TradeIndia is an inquiry marketplace, so decide who answers the phone and email, and how fast.

How TradeIndia buy leads work

A buy lead is a buyer’s requirement that a seller can see and answer. What TradeIndia’s pages say:

  • Buyers post, sellers browse. On the buy leads page, each lead shows the product, a location and a posting date. You can filter by country (India or foreign) and by age, from 7 days to 3 months. Signing in is required.
  • Posting a lead. A help page says a lead can be valid for a minimum of 30 days, 60, 90, and a maximum of 365 days.
  • Buying leads. The same help page says buy leads are obtained by purchasing the Buy Trade Leads Package, which adds buy leads to your account, after trade alerts are activated, by making an online payment. The page gives no price.
  • Buyer inquiries. Separately, the How It Works page says suppliers log in to read and reply to buy inquiries, and that buyers get an email notification when you respond.

What the pages do not say: who can see a buyer’s contact details, and whether payment is required to view a lead. The buy leads page we read did not state it either way. Check the live page and, before paying, ask in writing what a purchased package includes.

Our take: a lead is a chance to quote, not an order. Reply fast, quote clearly, and keep a record of which leads came from which package so you can judge the price after a month.

How to edit your TradeIndia profile

TradeIndia’s help page gives the route, which we repeat as written:

  1. Click LOGIN at the top right of tradeindia.com and sign in.
  2. Open “My Trade India” at the top right.
  3. Open “MY PROFILE”, then “EDIT PROFILE”.
  4. Change the details under “Company Profile Details” and click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.

The same help page says to change your mobile number from the Personal Details section of Edit Profile. Product details have their own edit route in the catalog section of the account. After any change, open your public company page as a visitor and confirm the name, address and phone match your master record.

Deleting, cancelling or contacting TradeIndia

Be realistic here: TradeIndia gives few self-service steps.

  • Delete an account. The help page lists the question but gives no steps, only the helpdesk, phone support and live chat. The terms say a user can opt out of being listed by emailing helpdesk@tradeindia.com. Write from your registered email and keep a copy.
  • Remove trade leads. Your own sell and buy trade leads can be edited, deleted or posted from My Tradeindia, according to the help page.
  • Cancel a paid package. We found no cancellation procedure. The terms say no membership charges are refunded on termination, and a user dissatisfied with a service may ask for a refund in writing, with the company free to accept or decline. Get the cancellation and refund terms for your package in writing before you pay.
  • Contact support. The help page gives phone support on 011-46710400 (the page adds 500, then press 1), a helpdesk link and live chat during business hours (10:00 to 18:00). Numbers change, so copy the current one from the Contact page.
  • Complaints. The terms name a Grievance Officer, who takes written complaints and is bound to redress them within one month. The contact details are in the terms.

Our take on the money: the clause that matters is the one saying membership charges are not refunded on termination. Treat a paid package as spent the day you pay, and buy only what you have tested in the free tier first.

TradeIndia vs IndiaMART

Both are Indian B2B marketplaces where sellers list products and buyers send inquiries. Our IndiaMART guide covers the other one in detail.

TradeIndiaIndiaMART
Free listingYes, free registration, maximum 50 productsYes, a free seller account with no time limit, per IndiaMART’s help centre
Free tier limit50 products and 50 sell leads with photographsSee our IndiaMART guide for the limits it reports
Sign-up checkAccount, company profile with GST and identity documents, then verificationA mandatory mobile OTP, as covered in our guide
Paid sidePackages from INR 48,999, a Verified Seller badge at INR 1,500, the Premium Seller tag, a Buy Trade Leads PackageOptional paid subscription plans, no prices in the articles we read
In our catalogNational directory, domain rating 83, freemium, inactiveB2B marketplace, inactive and manual

The honest comparison is that you should not pick one. Many Indian suppliers keep a free listing on more than one marketplace and compare the inquiries each brings. The comparison that matters is cost per qualified inquiry, which you can only measure after a month on each.

Where TradeIndia fits for local SEO

TradeIndia is a B2B marketplace, so it is a different tool from a local business directory. A shop or clinic that depends on walk-in customers gets more from the listings on our India citation sites page, from Justdial and from a correct Google Business Profile. A manufacturer, exporter or trader selling to other businesses gets more from TradeIndia, because the buyer is already searching for a product. Our manufacturing and industrial page lists the sites we rank for that industry, and the local citation finder filters them by country.

Whichever you choose, the listing is one more place your name, address and phone must read the same. Our post on free business listing sites explains why consistency matters more than the number of listings.

Common mistakes with a TradeIndia listing

  • Paying before testing the free tier. The free listing alone shows you what inquiries look like.
  • Buying a package without the details in writing. The special offers page gives names and prices, not durations or inclusions.
  • Treating the Verified badge as a guarantee. TradeIndia’s terms say it does not imply a warranty or guarantee of the seller’s performance.
  • Uploading a long list of products with no real descriptions or images.
  • Letting the details differ between TradeIndia, your website, Justdial and your Google Business Profile.
  • Assuming you can delete the account yourself. The route is the helpdesk.
  • Missing the buy lead age. A lead that is three months old is probably not a lead.

How Citation Builder fits in

We do not list businesses on TradeIndia, and TradeIndia is not a part of any set we sell. What we do is publish the research on which directories matter in India and in your industry, and how to keep one set of details identical across them. See our citation building service for how that works across 50+ countries and 50+ industries, with ongoing monitoring for as long as you stay subscribed.

Frequently asked questions

Is a TradeIndia business listing free?

Yes, registration is free. TradeIndia's How It Works page says suppliers can join "at absolutely NO COST", and its seller page says to register for free. Free members can list a maximum of 50 products in their online showroom. Paid packages, the Verified Seller badge, the Premium Seller tag and buy lead access are separate products.

How do I list my business on TradeIndia?

TradeIndia's own seller page gives four steps: create an account with basic details through the Join Free option, update your company profile (company name, GST details, identity documents and bank details), add products with descriptions, images and prices, then start selling. The page says that once you become a verified seller you will start receiving inquiries from genuine buyers. It does not explain the verification criteria.

How much does TradeIndia cost?

At the time of writing (November 2026), TradeIndia's special offers page lists 12 packages: eight domestic packages from INR 48,999 (SME Biz Connect Package) to INR 1,842,499 (TI Super Bonanza Seller Package), and four international packages from USD 931.59 (VIP Silver) to USD 3,729.64 (VIP Super Seller). The page does not state durations or per-package features. A separate page lists the Verified Seller badge at INR 1,500, valid till Dec. 31, 2026. Prices change, so read the pages linked in this guide before you pay.

What is the difference between free and paid TradeIndia members?

TradeIndia's help pages give specific differences: free members can post up to 50 sell trade leads with photographs, paid members up to 100, and only paid members get the Premium Seller tag, which is described as helping a seller get more visibility in listing and search results. The pages we could read do not give a full side-by-side comparison, so ask TradeIndia which package includes what before you pay.

How do TradeIndia buy leads work?

Buyers post requirements and sellers browse them. TradeIndia's buy leads page shows each lead with the product, a location and a posting date, and lets you filter by country (India or foreign) and by age, from 7 days to 3 months. Signing in is required. A help page says that after trade alerts are activated you obtain buy leads by purchasing the Buy Trade Leads Package with an online payment. We found no price for that package.

How do I delete my TradeIndia account or remove a listing?

TradeIndia's help page lists "How to delete an account?" but gives no steps, only the helpdesk, phone support and live chat. TradeIndia's terms say a user can opt out of being listed by emailing helpdesk@tradeindia.com. Its help pages show how to edit and delete your own trade leads from My Tradeindia. We found no self-service way to remove a whole company profile, so write to the helpdesk from your registered email and keep a copy.

Can I get a refund on a TradeIndia membership?

TradeIndia's terms say a user dissatisfied with a service may ask for a refund in writing, that the company decides whether to accept or decline the request, and that no membership charges are refunded if the membership is terminated. Complaints go to the Grievance Officer in writing, with a stated redress period of one month. Read the terms and ask for the package details in writing before you pay.
