The structure it uses, and why

The generator writes in the order a customer reads: who you are and where, what you do, what makes you different, and one fact that proves it. That is the formula behind our Google Business Profile description examples, and it follows Google's own guidance that the description should say what you offer and what makes you unique, within its guidelines.

Checks the generator runs on the description
CheckWhat it looks for
Length750 characters at most, counted the way the field counts them
LinksAnything that looks like a URL or a domain
Phone numbers and emailDigit runs that look like a phone number, and email addresses
Prices and promotionsCurrency symbols, percentages and words like "discount" or "sale"
Keyword stuffingAny meaningful word used more than three times
ShoutingWords written in capitals, beyond short acronyms

Our take: the description is the one paragraph you write once and then copy everywhere. Most directories have a description field too. Using the same core paragraph on your Google Business Profile, your website and your local citations keeps your business described the same way across the web, which is the consistency search engines and AI assistants cross-check. The rest of the profile is covered in our Google Business Profile guide.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long can a Google Business Profile description be?

Google caps the business description at 750 characters. The generator counts every character, spaces included, and warns before you pass the limit. Around 350 to 750 characters is enough room to say who you serve, what you do, where, what makes you different and one piece of proof.

What is not allowed in a Google Business Profile description?

Google's content policy for the description rules out links and HTML, and it discourages content built around promotions, prices or sales, along with misleading, offensive or gibberish text. Your phone number, website and offers belong in the profile fields built for them, so the generator flags links, phone numbers, prices and percentages.

Should I put keywords in my business description?

Describe the business in the words customers use, once, and stop there. Google says the description should cover what you offer and what makes you unique, and repeating a service or a city over and over reads as keyword stuffing to people and to Google. The generator flags a word repeated more than three times.

Does the description help my ranking?

Google has not confirmed the description as a ranking factor. Treat it as the paragraph that helps a customer choose you once they have found you, and keep it consistent with what your website and other listings say about the business.

Is this description generator free, and is it AI-written?

It is free with no signup and it is not AI: it assembles your own answers into a tested structure in your browser, then checks the result against Google's rules. Nothing you type is sent to us.
