Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Citation Builder (the “Service”), provided by IT DEV E.E., Argous 139, 104 41 Athens, Greece (VAT EL802223278), a digital marketing and web development agency based in Greece (“IT DEV”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The Service is offered globally. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the Service. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these Terms. You are responsible for the information on your account, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account.

2. The Service

Citation Builder helps you build, manage and monitor local business citations (your business name, address, phone and related details, “NAP”) across online directories and platforms in multiple countries and industries. We do this through official platform integrations and automated submissions to directories on your behalf, and we monitor and report the status of those listings. Features, supported directories and plan limits may change as the Service evolves.

3. Your data, content and instructions

You retain ownership of the business information and materials you provide (“Your Content”). You grant us the licence needed to host Your Content and to submit and maintain it on third-party directories in order to provide the Service. You represent and warrant that Your Content is accurate and that you own it or have all rights and permissions necessary to publish it and to list the business concerned. You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• create fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or unlawful listings, or list a business you are not authorised to represent;
• infringe the rights of others or violate any law, regulation or third-party directory's policies;
• upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or its security; or
• resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.

We may refuse, remove or unwind submissions, and suspend or terminate accounts, that breach these Terms or a directory's rules.

5. Plans, billing and renewals

• The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid features require an active subscription.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually as you select, through our third-party payment provider, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
• Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds for partial periods. Your mandatory statutory rights are not affected.
• We may change prices or plan features; we will give reasonable advance notice, and changes apply from your next renewal. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for where applicable.

6. Third-party directories and results

Directories and platforms on which we build listings are operated by independent third parties under their own terms. We submit your information and work to get listings published, but we do not control and do not guarantee that any directory will accept, approve, display, rank, retain or keep live any listing, nor how quickly it will do so. Some directories require verification steps (for example confirming an email or phone) that only you can complete. The Service does not guarantee any particular search ranking, traffic, leads or commercial outcome.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, content and trademarks, is owned by IT DEV or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue features. We may perform maintenance and will try to limit disruption.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or produce any specific result.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IT DEV will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold IT DEV harmless from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any third-party directory's rules.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that poses a legal or security risk. On termination your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as IP, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will survive. Listings already published on third-party directories are governed by those directories.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and the courts of Greece have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and IT DEV regarding the Service. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
