Google Screened
Google Screened was the Local Services Ads badge for professional services, such as law firms and real estate agents, that passed license and background checks.
Professional-service advertisers in Local Services Ads, where a money-back guarantee never applied, showed Google Screened instead of Google Guaranteed. The checks behind it are category specific: Google's screening page lists a state bar license check for each lawyer in a firm and a license check for each real estate agent, and notes that some real estate agents received the Google Screened badge based on their state's licensing background checks.
Google now issues one badge, Google Verified, to every advertiser that completes Local Services screening and verification, and existing verified advertisers move to it without reapplying. The badge belongs to the ad, not to the free map pack listing, so it does not change organic rankings; keeping the firm's name, address and licenses consistent everywhere still makes the screening faster.
