Google Guaranteed

Google Guaranteed was the Local Services Ads badge for screened home-service businesses, backed by a money-back guarantee that Google has now discontinued.

For years, home-service advertisers that passed Google's Local Services screening showed a Google Guaranteed badge, and customers who booked them through the ads could ask Google for a refund on unsatisfactory work. Google has since moved every advertiser to a single badge, Google Verified, and is discontinuing the money-back guarantee: its help page limits reimbursement requests to services booked through Local Services Ads before December 7, 2025, filed within 30 days of the job's completion.

Existing advertisers that had completed verification earn the Google Verified badge automatically; new advertisers earn it by passing the Local Services screening, which combines business, license and insurance checks that vary by category. It is an advertising badge, not an organic ranking signal, and Google says Local Services Ads ranking is not affected by the change. What the screening still checks is the same business identity your Business Profile and citations show, so mismatched names or addresses slow it down.
