NAP syndication

Automated distribution of a business’s NAP to a directory network through a paid platform’s data feed.

NAP syndication pushes one canonical business record to a network of partner directories and keeps them synchronized for as long as the subscription runs. It is the "rent" model of citation management: cancel, and listings can revert, disappear or freeze in place.

The alternative is building citations as real, owned listings on each directory, so the profile survives any subscription. Owned citations suit most businesses; syndication suits large multi-location brands with volatile data.
