Data aggregator
A company that collects and distributes business data to many downstream directories at once.
Data aggregators (such as Foursquare and various national equivalents) syndicate business information across networks of directories and apps. Historically they were a fast way to seed many citations.
Their influence has waned as Google, Apple and Bing increasingly rely on their own verification, but they remain useful in some markets.
