Google CID

A numeric customer ID Google uses internally for a business listing in Google Maps, visible in some Maps URLs.

The CID is a long number that identifies a place in Google Maps and can be used to build a Maps link to it. It is different from the Place ID, which is the identifier Google documents for developers and review links.

SEO tools use the CID to reference a listing unambiguously. For owners it mainly matters when diagnosing duplicates, since two CIDs for one business means two records.
